Glenna is a Project Research Specialist for the Benthic Ecology and Habitat Mapping lab at the center. They earned their B.S. in Environmental Science from Western Washington University in 2020. Afterwards they came to CCOM to earn an M.S. degree in Oceanography. Their thesis focused on utilizing micro-topography mapping and monitoring to determine endangered coral growth and cover for long-term outplants.
They are continuing this work, focusing on utilizing mapping and habitat suitability modeling to predict vulnerable ecosystems. This includes improving fine-scale modeling techniques for shallow water corals, to exploring hierarchical modeling in the deep-sea.
