Brandon Maingot
Brandon Maingot completed his B.Sc. in Geomatics Engineering at the University of the West Indies in 2015. There he was introduced to hydrography, among other methods of spatial data collection and analysis. Brandon took a liking to the offshore aspect of the program, and was recommended to apply for the GEBCO scholarship by his then advisor, Dr. Keith Miller. Brandon was part of the Year 12 GEBCO class at the Center for Coastal and Ocean Mapping, completing the program in the summer of 2016 and receiving a Cat. A certificate. He continued on at UNH to complete his master's degree in ocean engineering in 2019, emphasizing on ocean mapping. Brandon has since continued into the Ocean Engineering Ph.D. program. There he is researching automated sensor-offset calibration methods which optimally incorporate the spatio-temporal information available to, and acquired by, sonar systems.
