A team of oceanographic researchers is conducting a study on the Bagaduce River this week that, among other things, will provide baseline information for Maine Maritime Academy and its partners in developing a tidal energy research center in the river.

The research team consists of faculty and students from the University of New Hampshire’s Center for Coastal and Ocean Mapping and members of the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration’s Joint Hydrographic Center. They are spending the week at Maine Maritime Academy while they conduct the study.
