    Nancy Hann, NOAA Vice Admiral and Deputy Under Secretary for Operations, named CCOM Research Project Engineer Val Schmidt NOAA’s January Team Member of the Month! Val has been instrumental in developing NOAA’s ability to operate Uncrewed Marine Systems for ocean mapping and surveys and driving dramatic increases in the efficiency of NOAA’s ocean mapping activities.
